A family-centered, community-based programme strengthening the safety, health, and futures of the most vulnerable children in Oyo State.
The COF OVC Programme is a comprehensive, integrated intervention designed to improve the well-being, safety, and future opportunities of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and their households in Oyo State, Nigeria.
Rather than focusing solely on individual children, we take a family-centered and community-based approach, addressing child needs while simultaneously strengthening the household and caregiving environment around them.
Continuous monitoring ensures our interventions remain responsive, impactful, and sustainable — delivering outcomes that last well beyond our direct involvement.
Our OVC programme includes children living with HIV/AIDS. In FY23 (October 2022 – September 2023) we served 8,318 children and household members against a target of 8,326 — 100% of target. In FY22 we served 4,333 against a target of 4,340.
Our OVC work has been delivered with APIN and AONN across Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Ogo-Oluwa, Surulere, Oriire and Kajola LGAs, and our case managers make home visits to caregiver households to follow up every child.
